There used to be a swimming pool (for humans) on this site, so the pond site itself was already level. Cary wanted to do most of
the work himself, so after we designed it, away he went!
Wait! Is that Deb with a shovel full of dirt?? Nice work,
Deb! So how many of those shovel fulls did you actually
DO? Oh yeah. I remember. Just that one!
Good help is SO hard to find! That's me, Paula, and Sue below, and Cary
& Deb's cat pictured to the right. The cat . . . . not so helpful.
The pond is finally dug and we're ready to set the liner.
Poor Cary found muscles he never knew he had, but on the
bright side, he DID get a savage tan!

Cary finally enlisted the help of several friends to do a lot of the rock work.
That's Cary standing shirtless on the right (showing off his savage tan!)
Upon completion of this pond, Cary said the funniest thing
I've ever heard a client say to me. We had finally finished
to cool off in the shade, and he said, "Frieda, if anybody
ever asks me for a reference, I'll give you a good one, but
I'm gonna tell them to let YOU dig the darn thing!"
